THE DULCIMER IN VIRGINIA
May 2010 - December 2012.
Nine antique dulcimers from Ralph's collection, and the only known tintype photograph of a 19th Century scheitholt player, also from his collection, are included in a major exhibit, THE DULCIMER IN VIRGINIA, on display at the Blue Ridge Institute, Ferrum College, Ferrum, Virginia for a year beginning May 2010. Sponsors include the Virginia Endowment for the Humanities. When the exhibit completes its run at the Blue Ridge Institute, it will move to other museums and educational venues in Virginia.

This has been an annual event since 2005. Come and hear the legendary 1960s Washington Square pickers and singers do it all over again! Ralph was there in the 60s, and will be there this year! Come by, say hello, and sing at least one chorus of "Roll in My Sweet Baby's Arms"!

This Festival will celebrate the world's first bluegrass festival, which was held in Luray on July 4, 1961. Ralph will exhibit antique dulcimers and play old Virginia songs.
